11 Passport - New Rules
As of January 23, 2007 all persons, including U.S. Citizens traveling abroad will be required to present a valid passport. This applies to traveling between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Bermuda.
When filing a new application for a passport for the first time, you will need to go in person to one of the passport issuing locations and supply two photographs of yourself, proof of U.S. citizenship and a valid photo ID, such as a driver’s license.
